Kentucky Employers Leading on Child Care wants every employer, parent, and future child care professional in Kentucky to be able to use kychildcare.com (the “Site”), including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have mobility, cognitive, or learning disabilities.
What We Do
- Use clear headings and page structure so screen readers can navigate the Site.
- Provide text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images.
- Use colors with enough contrast to read easily.
- Make sure the Site can be used with a keyboard alone.
- Label every form field clearly and explain errors in text
- Design pages that work on phones, tablets, and when zoomed to 200%.
- Write in plain language.
Known limitations
We test the Site regularly, but some content may not yet be fully accessible.
Some documents and pages we link to are run by other organizations and may not meet the same standard.
Feedback and help
If you have trouble using any part of the Site, or need information in another format, please let us know. Tell us the page and the problem and we will work with you to provide the information another way.

Ongoing commitment
Accessibility is ongoing work. We review the Site when we add new pages or features, and we update this statement as we make improvements.
